In Smokefall there's talking fetuses, eating dirt, and generational trauma! Alongside my Co-Director, Jessica Hudson, I told people things to make a thing happen. It was more than neat. Some would say, pretty fucking neat. We did this show in the round, which I genuinely had a fun time blocking. Thanks to Empty Space Theatre for producing the show! A comedy about talking cows and cowboys chasing them. This was part of a play workshop event produced by Empty Space Theatre, where two student written plays were staged over the course of a week. I got to direct one of these plays. Actors did not have to memorize lines, but with the use of acting blocks, we got to block it all out and incorporate minor technical elements.
